Jent Do’s works explore ways the digital realm and the physical realm bleed through each other while discussing their Vietnamese heritage in relation to social media, internet culture, queerness, and environmental consciousness. A concurrent theme in their work is constructing a glitched-out internet celebrity avatar that disrupts social conventions in terms of gender, race, class, and nationality, using abstraction via digital means to deconstruct their identity. They also imagine utopias in which alienness and weirdness reside. Their practice extends across media, mainly painting, video, computer graphics (3D, AI, Creative Coding), sound, etc.
